2024

Greetings All,

Believe it or not summer is right around the corner! Once again, we will be offering our engaging summer program opportunity that provides students with structured supports for the summer. We are currently accepting referrals for our six-week Outlook Summer School program.

Outlook Summer School will take place June 24th through August 2nd (no school July 4th). Programming runs Monday through Friday from 8am-2pm and will be geared toward assisting students in building a more secure pattern of social-emotional management.  These skills will provide a foundation for educational success going into the school year.   Math and Language Arts instruction will be creatively integrated into a variety of developmentally aligned outdoor educational experiences.  Activity instruction will be led by our certified teachers and highly effective teams.  Referrals are open to students ages 6-16.  Programming will provide each student with an opportunity to strengthen their “student ready” skills.  Through our highly engaging outdoor adventure program, students will build a solid social/emotional platform for improved academic readiness. We will provide every participant with breakfast, lunch, and snacks. Transportation will be provided by parents/school district/county supports. Due to the limited number of slots, and high interest, participant slots will be pre-paid for the entire six-week session.

As part of programming, we are offering an Expedition opportunity in week 5 to the Turtle Flambeau, with a four-night trip led by our Outlook Excursion team.  SEL and academic skills progression will be integrated into the weekly schedule leading up to the excursion.  Canoeing, backcountry camping, and outdoor survival skills will be integrated into daily curriculum.

Outlook Summer School also includes an integrated open door approach, designed to assist school teams and parents in bridging these skills back into their school and families.   We have seen great things come from invested teams who have utilized the Outlook Summer School as an experiential training tool.  Interested parties should contact us ASAP to discuss the structuring of this opportunity.

We have partnered with schools/families that have utilized funding sources of:

  • Extended School Year (ESY)

  • Mental Health Grant Dollars

  • Community Foundations

  • County Waiver Support

  • Children’s Miracle Network Grant Scholarship (Must meet specific criteria)
